A one to three hour overview of coalition building principles from a research-based perspective, for local leaders, health educators, and grassroots coalition members. Includes training manual and supporting materials from various institutes, as needed.

Grantwriting for Health Care Professionals
This one-day workshop provides hands-on experience in writing grants to support rural health care programs. Presenters have extensive expertise in writing and reviewing state and federal grants and offer outstanding guidelines on how to write proposals that get results.

How to Calculate and Use Common Statistical Terms in Your Teen Pregnancy Prevention Work
This program is intended to help local teen pregnancy prevention program leaders and participants better understand and use statistical information about pregnancy rates. It also introduces places on the web where you can get local information to inform your family programs. Includes both a PowerPoint and fact sheets.
Special Topics in Rural Health
The Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health offers a range of conferences and workshops throughout the year on special topics related to rural health. Topics include providing health services to migrant and immigrant populations, accessing dental care services in rural areas, and providing mental health services to rural populations.

Storytelling for Health (a.k.a. Women Alive!)
A three to six hour workshop for cancer survivors, health care providers, and local leaders that focuses on creating a personal story, public speaking skills, and motivational presentation for health education. Can also be used as part of a visioning/planning process. Includes training manual, videos.
